Google has taken an initiative to introduce new features that alert or protect Google Workspace from all kinds of cybercrime threats. The objective behind this initiative is to minimize the burden of security notifications and present a complete picture of the security alerts to everyone.

The features come with real-time alerts regarding security events. The integration of VirusTotal has enabled the admin to get into the depth and get a better understanding of the security measures that are greatly backed by VirusTotal’s IP address, domain, file attachment hash.

VirusTotal joined Alphabet’s Chronicle enterprise cybersecurity unit in 2018 which then unified with the Google Cloud.

It is reported that Paid VirusTital can get rich with the hunting reports for malware inclusive of VirusTotal dataset links, crowdsourced reputation details, and assessment of the threat relationship. This also educates people on how malware can affect the geographies consisting of malware submissions.

Google explained that it shares no personal information or details about a customer to VirusTotal when an admin receives a click on VirusTotal report. Moreover, the enhancing features will be rolled out in the future weeks for Google Workspace Business Plus, Education Standard and Plus licenses, and Enterprise Standard and Plus. They will give a boost to the admin for the comprehensive analysis of the threats and abuses.

Furthermore, Google is going to introduce a means of locking and keeping the Google Drive accounts secure that are taken the advantage of by insiders. This will aid the admin in blocking spamming or abusive content in the future. According to Google, it will not only prevent Drive sharing but also protect the Drive users.
Moreover, Google is reported to be introducing more granular controls to limit the access of Google Workspace.
